Hello! from the Innkeeper!
A couple from Indiana visited recently with their motorcycles, on a trailer, pulled by their SUV. After resting up, after their long drive, the trailer was parked beside the driveway, the motorcycles unloaded and off they went. They rode on the Blue Ridge Parkway to Monticello, outside of Charlottesville. rode to Appomattox and to Natural Bridge. Not all in the same day! After waking up the third morning, with sore calves, did I tell you that they hiked too…. they decided to drive their car over the mountain to ” Natural Bridge Safari Park”. They came back to the Inn, all smiles… the drive thru zoo was a hit. You purchase a bucket of “Special Grain” and off you go. The drive is over 3 miles of maintained gravel road and you feed the animals through your window. The experience of having a camel or a zebra at your finger tips, is a fun, unique experience.. They saw a lot in just a few short days. After their daily excursions, the rocking chairs on the front porch called to them. Come & Relax.
An Anniversary (52 years) was celebrated by a couple who live close by, in Blue Ridge, Va. this past weekend. The “Groom”, called a few weeks ago, to reserve a room as a “Surprise” for his wife. The plan was to take her to “The Little Town Players Theatre”, in Bedford, and see the play, “Grease”, a pleasant dinner afterwards, and then the scenic ride to the Inn. Well, the best of plans sometimes get changed. The” Bride” was making plans of her own, so she had to be told some of his Surprise. It all worked out, they had a nice celebration. Happy Anniversary!
